Job Description:
The Remote Payroll Clerk is responsible for ensuring the
accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees while
working from a remote location. Key responsibilities include:
Processing payroll: Accurately calculate employee wages,
deductions, and taxes.
Reviewing timesheets: Verify hours worked and manage overtime
calculations.
Managing payroll records: Maintain accurate payroll databases and
employee records.
Tax compliance: Handle federal, state, and local tax deductions and
reporting.
Answering employee inquiries: Respond to payroll-related questions
and issues.
Handling deductions: Manage benefits, garnishments, and other
deductions.
Payroll software: Use payroll software to ensure efficient
processing and record-keeping.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in payroll software and virtual communication
tools.
Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
Experience in remote work and self-management.
