  • Staffing Ratios: 1:4 RN-to-patient
  • Primary Population: Thoracotomies (lung surgeries), amputations, weight loss surgery, total joint replacement, spinal surgery, orthopedic trauma, abdominal surgeries, complicated appendix or gall bladder surgeries
  • Nursing skills that will be utilized are skeletal, bucks and cervical traction, arterial and central lines, IV start skills, peripheral and arterial lab draws, various intravenous drips, e.g., cardiac, insulin, heparin, cardiac monitoring, assessment of lumbar drains, wound vac dressing changes, extensive wound management, epidurals, tracheostomy patients, chest tubes, surgical wound drains
    • Job Requirements
    • NC or compact license
    • BLS (AHA) certification
    • Ortho experience
    • EPIC experience
      • Schedule Information
      • 36 Guaranteed Weekly Hours
      • Every Other Weekend
      • 3 out of 4 holidays
      • 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule
